What we collect
We aim to collect as little personal information as possible.
- Newsletter data (MailerLite): your email address when you subscribe.
- Communications: if you email us, we process your email address, message content, and related metadata to respond.
- Technical data: our host (GoDaddy) and our site may generate server logs (e.g., IP address, browser type, pages viewed, date/time) for security and reliability.
- Analytics (Google Analytics): we use first‑party cookies and similar technologies to understand aggregate website usage (e.g., page views, referrers, device/browser, approximate location). We use Analytics for measurement, not for targeted advertising.
We do not intentionally collect sensitive categories of data.
How we use information
- Provide the newsletter and manage your subscription.
- Operate, protect, and improve the website (including preventing abuse and troubleshooting).
- Respond to your messages and support requests.
- Comply with legal obligations (e.g., maintain unsubscribe/suppression records).
Do we sell or share your information?
We do not sell personal information.
We do not share personal information for cross‑context behavioral/targeted advertising.
We use Google Analytics for measurement only and have not enabled Google Ads/remarketing features. If this changes, we will update this policy and provide an opt‑out as required.
Cookies and tracking
- First‑party cookies: used for site functionality and Google Analytics measurement (no targeted ads).
- Third‑party tracking: MailerLite may use cookies/pixels on embedded signup forms and in emails (e.g., open/click measurement).
- Your controls: unsubscribe from emails at any time; adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies; use browser/vendor privacy settings. We will honor legally required browser‑based opt‑out signals where applicable.
Disclosures to service providers
We share information with service providers who process it on our behalf under agreements that limit their use to our instructions:
- Email marketing: MailerLite (subscription management and sending newsletters).
- Hosting/CDN: GoDaddy (site hosting, security logs, and performance).
- Email service: Microsoft 365/Outlook (sending/receiving support emails).
- Analytics: Google Analytics (aggregate usage measurement).
We may disclose information if required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer.
Retention
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above:
- Newsletter data: kept while you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, we keep a suppression record (your email + opt‑out status) so we don’t email you again.
- Server logs (GoDaddy / site): kept up to 90 days for security and troubleshooting.
- Analytics (Google Analytics): retained up to 14 months where supported by property settings.
- Email correspondence: kept up to 24 months to maintain context for ongoing conversations.
We may keep information longer if necessary to comply with law or defend legal rights.
Your privacy rights (U.S. state laws, including California)
Depending on your state, you may have the right to access, delete, correct, or obtain a copy of your personal information, and to appeal our decision if we deny a request.
How to submit a request: email support@answerstotheacs.com with the subject “Privacy Request.”
- Verification: we will verify your request using the email address associated with your interactions (e.g., by confirming control of the inbox).
- Timing: we aim to respond within 45 days (and may extend once where allowed).
- Authorized agents: you may designate an agent; we may require proof of authorization and verification of your identity.
- No discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
- Sensitive data: we do not collect or use sensitive personal information for purposes that require a “Limit the Use” opt‑out.
Because we do not sell or share personal information for targeted advertising, there is no “Do Not Sell/Share” opt‑out to provide at this time.
Children’s privacy
This is a general‑audience website. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are under 13, please do not sign up for the newsletter or provide personal information. If you believe a child has provided information, contact support@answerstotheacs.com so we can delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information, including encrypted HTTPS connections, limited access to systems, and reputable service providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
International users
We are based in the United States. If you access the website from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the U.S. by our service providers.
